Carry-On Allowance: 1 Bag + 1 Personal Item
Each passenger is allowed to carry on one bag and one personal item such as a purse or briefcase. Assistive devices and outer garments do not count as personal items. All carry-on luggage must fit in the overhead bin or under the seat in front of you and adhere to the following requirements:
- Maximum Dimensions of Carry-on Luggage: 22in x 14in x 9in/56cm x 36cm x 23cm (length x width x height)
- Maximum Weight of Carry-on Luggage for Economy Class passengers: 15 lb/7 kg
- Maximum Weight of Carry-on Luggage for Business Class passengers: 22 lb/10 kg
- Maximum Weight of Carry-on Luggage for First Class passengers: 33 lb/15 kg
All First and Business Class passengers can also bring one 1 garment or soft bag not more than 8in/20cm thick.
REMINDER: Bulkhead seats do not have underseat storage during take-off and landing.

Checked Baggage Allowance
If traveling to/from Central, North or South America each passenger is allowed 2 checked bags as long as each bag adheres to the below requirements:
- Maximum Dimensions: 62 linear inches/157 cm (length + width + height)
- Maximum Weight: 70 lb/32 kg
If traveling to/from any destination other than the Americas each passenger must adhere to the below requirements:
- Baggage Allowance: None (2 pieces preferred)
- Maximum Dimensions: 62 linear inches/157 cm (length + width + height)
- Maximum Weight for Economy Class passengers: 44 lb/20 kg
- Maximum Weight for Business Class passengers: 66 lb/30 kg
- Maximum Weight for First Class passengers: 88 lb/44 kg
Excess, Overweight, Oversize Baggage Fees
If you have more bags than the permitted allowance or your bags exceed the weight or linear restrictions, you will be charged additional fees. Contact Cathay Pacific directly, or visit their Excess Baggage Information Page for information. Any single bag weighing over 70 pounds/32 kg will not be accepted.
Sports Equipment
Some checked items, such as bicycles, will be charged a fixed handling fee because of size, fragility, or other handling requirements while others may be checked in lieu of one of your checked bags. If you plan to travel with sporting equipment, contact Cathay Pacific directly to confirm packing regulations and fees.
CPAP Devices:
Cathay Pacific may transport your personal oxygen equipment, for instance those filled with gas, in the cargo hold as long as it is packed and labeled in accordance with our “Dangerous Goods” regulations. For more information, please contact the reservations office. For safety reasons, oxygen cylinders brought by passengers may not be carried or used on board our flights. Passengers may also bring and use their own Portable Oxygen Concentrators (POC’s) on board. For more information, please contact the airline.
