Does AirAsia have online check-in?

Yes, AirAsia's Web Check-in allows you to check-in up 7 days prior and up to 4 hours before your flight departs. All you need is an internet connection, a printer, and your travel itinerary.

What are the requirements for using Web Check-in?

  • Check-in 7 days prior and up to 4 hours before your flight departs.
  • If traveling to an international destination, you are required to validate your Web/Kiosk boarding pass at the airport's Self Check-In counter. Your boarding pass is invalid until it is stamped as proof of validation.
  • If you are traveling to East Malaysia, you must comply with Article 6.6 (Document Advisory) and Article 6.5 (Travel Documents) of AirAsia's Terms & Conditions of Carriage .
  • You are NOT a special needs passenger. This includes: expectant mothers, guest(s) traveling with infant(s), guest(s) with reduced mobility, guest(s) traveling to Australia, groups of 9 or more, guest(s) who purchased ticket(s) via the FLY-THRU service, and guest(s) who booked with a credit card & EGV voucher via the internet or call center, departing within 48 hours from the time of booking.

Make sure you leave enough time at the airport to get through security, check your bags, etc.

Can I use Web Check-in if I have bags to check?

Yes, you will be able to print your boarding pass at home but will have to drop your bags at an AirAsia check-in counter at the airport before the cut-off time. Once you check-in online, however, no further changes can be made to your booking, such as changing the number of bags being checked.

Can I change/select my seat with Web Check-in?

Yes, when you use Web Check-in you can:

  • Change/Select your seat.

Does AirAsia offer mobile check-in?

Yes, AirAsia's Mobile Check-in allows you to check-in up 7 days prior and up to 4 hours before your flight departs. This service is available for all Internet-enabled mobile phones. Guests will be able to print their boarding passes using the 2D barcode scanners or Self Check-In Kiosks at the airport.

In addition, there is a mobile check-in application available for Androids, BlackBerrys, and iPhones.

If I plan to check in at the airport, how much time should I allot?

The Baggage Drop and Travel Document Check counter is available at all airports. The counter opens 2 hours before the scheduled time of departure and closes 45 minutes prior to the departure time.
