The Silver Airways (and Seaborne Airlines) baggage policy for regular basic fares include the following:

  • 1 personal item - Fee free
  • 1 carry-on/cabin bag - Fee free
  • Checked baggage / Hold luggage - Applicable fees per bag increase with number checked
  • Overweight and Oversize bags - Applicable fees per bag depending on weight and size categories
  • Sports equipment - Certain items might have applicable fees

What is Silver Airways’ (and Seaborne Airlines’) carry-on/cabin baggage policy?

Silver Airways (and Seaborne Airlines) allows 1 carry-on/cabin bag and 1 personal item (purse, briefcase, laptop bag) per passenger fee free.

Carry-on/cabin bag, due to small overhead dimensions will not be allowed onboard. Carry-on bags must be valet checked at the gate before boarding. The bag will be returned at the gate area upon arrival.

Personal items must be within the following specifications:

  • A jacket, umbrella, diaper bag, duty free items, and assistive devices (wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, strollers, child restraint seats, etc.) do not count towards your carry-on allowance
  • Fit in the overhead bin or under the seat in front of you
  • Size restrictions are 41.5 linear inches (19 x 14 x 8.5 in) or 105.5 centimeters (48 x 35.5 x 22 cm)

NOTE: Bulkhead seats do not have under seat storage, therefore, all carry-on/cabin baggage must be stowed in the overhead bin during take-off and landing.

What is Silver Airways’ (and Seaborne Airlines’) fee for overweight baggage?

Silver Airways (and Seaborne Airlines) will charge the following for bags that are greater than the standard 50 pounds or 23 kilograms:

  • 51 to 70 pounds or 24 to 31 kilograms: US$50 extra per bag
  • 71 to 100 pounds or 31 to 45 kilograms: US$100 extra per bag
  • Bags exceeding 100 pounds or 45 kilograms will not be accepted as checked baggage / hold luggage.

What is Silver Airways’ (and Seaborne Airlines’) fee for oversize baggage?

Silver Airways (and Seaborne Airlines) will charge US$100.00 extra for bags that are from 63 to 115 linear inches or from 158 to 292 centimeters. Bags greater than 115 linear inches or 292 centimeters will not be accepted as checked baggage / hold luggage.

Are there fees for sports equipment on Silver Airways (and Seaborne Airlines)?

Sports equipment such as skis, golf bags, fishing equipment, hockey, and lacrosse equipment will be accepted up to Silver Airways’ (and Seaborne Airlines’) size and weight limits and will count as one checked bag/hold bag. The maximum length of any piece of sports equipment is 7 feet or 2.2 meters. Associated fees might be applied.
