Excess Baggage

Baggage exceeding the weight allowance will be charged at a rate per kilogram over the allowance. Contact Oman Air directly for fee information.

The maximum accepted weight for any single piece of baggage is 71 lb/32 kg. Any piece of baggage exceeding this weight will not be accepted for check-in. Total dimensions for checked bags may not exceed 74 in/188 cm (length + width + height). Bags larger than the size specified may require special handling.

Sports Equipment and Musical Instruments

Some checked items, such as surfboards, bicycles, and musical instruments will be charged a fixed handling fee because of size, fragility, or other handling requirements while others may be checked in lieu of one of your checked bags. If you plan to travel with special equipment, contact Oman Air directly to confirm packing regulations and fees.

If the item is too large to carry on, Oman Air may suggest purchasing a ticket for the adjacent seat in order that the unit be placed and secured.
