Young children traveling without a parent or legal guardian are considered unaccompanied minors. Most airlines provide a service to assist these children from their point of departure to their final destination.

What age does my child have to be to qualify as an unaccompanied minor?

Children aged five years or more may travel unaccompanied on airberlin.

What are the fees associated with this service?

A handling fee of $50/ €40 per flight applies to the carriage of unaccompanied minors on short-haul and medium-haul flights. The fee charged for long-haul flights is $100/ €80 per flight.

Are there any flight restrictions?
